The Q: Hi, I'm getting married in a few weeks, and I know friends and family will bring their cameras to the wedding. I wanted to see what was the best way to ask guests to share their photos with me instead of getting numerous photo albums. Thanks!
The A: This is actually a great question and can lead to a fun and great idea. My thought would be to first set up a photo sharing account, like at flickr, for a group. You can name it according to a particular name and then you can either: a) print tiny fold over cards (avery cards can work) with a little note to be placed at each place settng that says something like "Share and Share A Like. We'd love to see your photos from today, please upload them to our Flickr group "Blah Blah Blah". The other thought is to simply send out an email inviting your guests to join the photo sharing group after the wedding.
If you specifically want to create an album I'd have the note or the email say " We'd like to create an album with photos of the day the way you saw it. Please submit your favorite photos to "blah blah blah" after the wedding....
I'm not always the most technically savvy gal out there, so there may be an even better way. Any ideas, ladies?
